Lota Nama

 Extraordinary Rendition

O brethren of earthenware

We are assembled here

To sit and ponder how and where

We are to take our future fare

We have been screwed by fate

We may roar or we may squeak

We may be  traded down the creek

But we must turn the other cheek

And never ever should we leak

Secrets of the state

The moving finger having writ

Moved on and never thought it fit

To bother about those who were hit

Statecraft is a total twit

I have realised of late

There was no gas, no atta sir

Then there was the massacre

The Red Mosque burning like tinder

My voters did a runner

I even lost my money mate

Your long arm, my big arm

The law minister’s famous charm

Were not enough to stem the harm

Or to quell acute alarm

I’ve lost my itch at any rate

Why Hakim Haziq is too much serious on politics. Can he enjoy the latest from Lahore:

* Syed Pervez Musharraf has renamed himself as Mian Pervaiz Hussain Bhutto-Zardari. He will retain the name "Pervez" because even if a change takes place "pervez" will be there (see Pervez Muhsarraf or Pervez Kiyani).

* Asif Zardari has written a will that after his death Sherry Rehman should be made co-chairperson of the PPP. After the end of Zardari’s “Iddat”, Maulana Fazlur Rehman will read his “Nikah” with Ms. Rehman.

* According to new Islamic Shariah, where four wives are allowed for a man and four wives are also allowed for a woman as well, Jemima Khan has doen "Ijtehad" and decided to maintain two husbands at a time: Imran Khan and Hugh Grant.

* Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has been “reinstated” as the General Manager of Ittefaq Foundry as Nawaz Sharif decided to keep pace with President. Mr. Chaudhry will find the missing people burnt alive in Ittefaq Foundry.

* PML (N) will re-enact the “MMA” by getting the government in the Punjab and playing the “opposition” in the National Assembly. Isn't it a good "deal"?

I fully agree with Dr. Omar Ali. If you embark on the constitutional amnedment path, you
inderectly endorse Musharraf's "unconstitutional" amendments taken on Nov. 3 which were
upheld by his puppet judges. Only the parliament can amend the constitution.
The Supreme Court can just interpret the constitution.

All it needs is WILL on the part political parties, the lawyers and civil society.

thank you ustad daman, here is another one from pakistan:

JOKE OF THE DAY..... Enjoy!

One day President Musharraf was traveling by his car for his campaign to a village. Suddenly a puppy came before the car. The driver couldn't hit the brake at the right time and unfortunately the baby dog was killed in the accident.

At the sight Mushi was deeply moved and felt very upset. He called the driver and said,"Jiska ye kutta hai mein usko compensation dena chahta hoon.  Usko dhund ke lao".

Hearing this the driver went to the nearest village and came back after some time wearing a fine new suit on his body, garlands and Mala around his neck and lots of money in his hands!!!

Mushi was surprised. He asked his driver, "Mein ne tumko kaha tha ke uss aadmi ko laiye aao, aur tum aise wapas aaye ho! Baat kya hai?"

The driver replied “I told them about the incident. Hearing it they were rejoiced, they gave me new suit and put garlands on me, then danced for some time and gave this money." Mushi then asked him "Tum ne unko exactly kya bola tha?"

The driver replied: “Main bola, mien General Pervez Musharraf ka driver hoon, maine kuttay ke bachhe ko mar dala hai......... ."
